6.1 The Item Modifier Sets


 Navigating the Item Modifier Sets

 In the Basic Menu Management section, below the ‘Menu Categories’, click the Modifier Sets [ always click once ]


Definitions:




New Set

  1. The merchant can group related modifiers to simplify the process for menu items. for example different toppings for a pizza or options for a sandwich ] 


Below is the content of the New Set and its detailed information:


  • Modifier Set Name: 

  • Modifier Set Type:

  • Option Set:
    • Add-ons that can be applied to a menu item, such as adding extra toppings to a pizza or choosing a different sauce for a steak.


  • Type Set:
    • A group of menu items that share a common attribute, such as the size of the pizza or the temperature of the steak. [note: “TypeSet” is always checked as required]


  1. Sort Order:

Refers to how The modifiers and other options are arranged or ordered within the system. In this case, it can be sorted by number.
For now, it’s best to leave it as it is ] 


  1. Font Size:

                 The User can adjust the font size.


  1. Text Position

Adjust the position of the modifier set name.

  1. Button Layout

Arrangement of buttons on the POS screen.   [Default Button Layout Should Be 2x1]

  1. Checklist

Required:

The modifier will become a requirement, meaning after the user picked the menu item they must choose first the modifier before proceeding.

Print on Customer Receipt:

The system will print another receipt for the customer

Allow Multiples:

Auto Add All Options:

  1. Availability Checklist








Edit Set

  1. This button will let the user edit the existing modifier sets.

Duplicate Set

  1. This feature will let the user duplicate an existing modifier set.

Choosing the Sets

  1. This feature will let the user choose what sets to choose TypeSets or OptionSets ]

Set Display

  1. This window or section displays the existing modifiers inside a set

Modifiers

  • Modifier Name: 
  1. Set the assigned/desired modifier name

  • Modifier Price:
  1. Set the assigned/desired price for the modifier

Standard Settings

  1.  


Displayed Modifiers

  1. This is where the Modifier of the created sets will appear

Modifier Image

  1. This feature allows the user to add an image or remove an image.





6.2 Tutorial on Adding New Sets


Step 1 ( Creating a New Set ):

  • To create a New Set, please click the upper left corner of the application.



Step 2 ( Inputting The Modifier Set ):

The user must input the required modifier set name for a specified created menu item but they should first pick a modifier set type

 [ example

TypeSets (Mandatory): If someone wants to order steak, they need to follow a few steps. First, they have to select a 'Modifier Set Type' that would be TypeSet and type in 'Meat Temperature' as the name of the modifier set. Finally, click the 'Required' checkbox and a Minimum of ‘1’ type to make sure that the customer chooses their preferred temperature.

OptionSetsThis feature is completely optional if the merchant wants to add some sides like fries, etc2x. ]




Step 3 ( Customizing the Modifier ): 

The next step is about customizing the created modifier, from customizing the font size, text position, and button layout.


Step 4 ( Saving ): 

  • Once you've entered all the necessary information, click the 'Save' button to continue.




6.3 Tutorial on Editing Sets


Step 1 ( Finding the Sets ):

  • Click the drop-down icon which is shown in the image below

     




Step 2 ( Click on the Chosen Sets):

  • After clicking the drop-down icon, there will be two sets to choose from [ TypeSets and OptionSets ]. Choose the desired sets.





Step 3 ( Finding the Right Modifier ):

  • After looking for the set, a modifier that is related to the chosen set will appear, then click the existing modifier for editing. 



Step 4 ( Clicking the Edit Set):

  • After clicking the modifier, click on “Edit Set” which is shown in the image below


Step 5 ( The “Edit Set” feature ):

  • After clicking the “Edit Set” button, the user will be directed to the content of the modifier which enables the user to edit the existing modifier.


Step 6 ( Saving the Edited Modifier ):

  • After the user has edited the existing modifier, click the “Save” button [ in the image below, the user only edited the font size of the modifie].


    Results ( The Edited Modifier )
    The edited modifier will reflect on the actual Ordering System as presented in the image below, the font of the modifier increased ]





6.4 Tutorial on Duplicating Sets (QuickGuide)





6.5 Tutorial on adding Modifier Name


This tutorial will tackle adding modifier name/s to the sets created for example: If the modifier set is ‘steak temperature’, then we should add a modifier name which is: rare, medium-rare, and well-done. 


Step 1 (Adding Modifier Name): 

  1. Make sure to click on the correct modifier set before adding the modifier name. For this sample: the user clicked ‘Meat Temperature’ 

  2. After clicking the correct modifier set, input the required modifier name and the desired price.  [ For this sample: the user typed Rare in the modifier name and $10 for the modifier price].


Results (Saving Modifier Name)

  • After you have filled in all the required details, click the 'Save As New' button to proceed. You'll see the new modifier name you created to appear in a small white box below after you click the 'save' button and you’re good to go.


Editing the created modifier name:

  • To edit the modifier name of an item, first, click on the modifier set.
  • After that, click on the modifier name you created, which will be displayed in a small white box below.
  • After you have made all the necessary edits, click the 'Save Selected' button to update the modifier name. That's it, you're done.


Deleting The Modifier

  • To delete the modifier name of an item. First, click on the modifier set.
  • After that, click on the modifier name you created, which will be displayed in a small white box below.
  • Click the 'Delete Selected' button to delete the modifier name. That's it, you're done.
