5.1  Menu Items ( Create / Edit )

On the upper left tile of the Basic Menu Management click the “Menu Items”.




Definitions

Category

  1. This is the Menu Category [ Example: Pasta, Pizza, etc.].


Menu Categories Navigation Bar

  1. This is where the User navigates the created Menu Category [ This is applicable if there are more Menu Categories created ].


Move Item

  1. This feature allows the user to move the existing menu items to a desired tile location


Merge Buttons

  1. This feature merges one existing menu item tile with another empty tile/s. [ Note: this will vary depending on the font size created but if there are multiple menu items to be inputted it is recommended to use only one tile ]


Reset Size

  1. This feature will reset the size of a merged tile, making it into one tile.


Alphabetize

  1. This will sort the menu items from A to Z.


Create Standalone Modifier

  1. A feature allows the user to create a modifier that can be applied to any menu item, without being part of a specific modifier set. [ note: If the item has an add-on, it is always set as a Standalone Modifier ] 

Copy Item

  1. A feature that allows the user to copy an existing tile to then paste it to an empty tile.


Menu Item Tiles

  1. This is where the created Menu Items will be placed


5.2 Tutorial on Creating / Editing Menu Categories


Step 1 (Navigating the Menu Categories): 

Since the newly created menu category “Pasta New” is located in the Set 2 of the Menu Categories, the user must only left-click once on the “Menu Categories” [ note: it is always located at the bottom left of the application ] to locate the “Pasta New” tile.


Step 2 ( Choosing the Desired menu category): 

The user should click the “Pasta New” category first before clicking on the Menu Items Tiles. [ The process should be followed because clicking on the desired tile will prompt the user to use the specific Category Tile which will then able the user to create a specific menu item related to the category ]



Step 3 (Creating “Menu Item”): 

After clicking on the category, the user must click only once on a desired tile to create a “Menu Item”.




Step 4 (Inputting the Item Name):

The User should input the desired “Item Name” [ example: since the Item Category is “Pasta New”, the menu items should be related to the Pasta Category, so the User inputted: Spaghetti ] 



Step 5 (Picking the Button Color): 

To select a color for the tile or button, go to 'Button Color'. [ refer to the image below ]




Step 6 (Assigning The Printer Option):

To send the order to the kitchen, navigate to the printer option and select 'Kitchen'. [ note: Please choose the appropriate option based on the printer's location in the store. ]



Step 7 (Assigning the price):

Make sure to assign the correct price for the menu item. [ note: if the price is not entered the system won't allow you to save the new menu item. If there is no price available, simply input '0'. ]



Step 8 (Saving the created menu item):

Once you've entered all the necessary information, click the 'Save' button to continue. [ The button is always located at the bottom right of the application ] 


Result ( The Created Menu Item ):

After you create the Menu Category, it will show up under the 'Menu Items’ section of the Menu Categories.
